No Grammy nod for The Union (sigh)

Travesty, I say, travesty!  For Elton, Leon and T Bone.

The Union was Rolling Stone’s #3 album of the year…how could it not be nominated?  They also gave it 5 stars when they reviewed it“The Union is a rare gesture in a dying business: an act of gratitude.”  If the Grammy jurors can’t recognize the quality, at least they could show some gratitude.

I guess timing is everything…The Union just missed the cutoff for last year’s nominations, and I suppose it has long slipped from the minds of the Grammy powers that be.  Which probably isn’t that hard to do.

(sigh)
